Children’s Sneaker – Direct Injection Development

The client provided a 2D design along with the digital last, requiring full development for direct injection manufacturing.

Direct injection requires precise control of contact lines, material thickness, and geometry to ensure proper bonding between upper and sole.

Translating a 2D concept into a functional 3D model while maintaining production constraints was a key challenge.

  • 3D modeling based on last and design references

  • Adjustment of wall thickness for injection

  • Alignment between upper, sole, and contact areas

A 3D-printed prototype was developed to validate proportions, fit, and functional performance before tooling.

Support during mold development ensured accurate translation from digital model to manufacturing.

  • Production-ready outsole for direct injection

  • Accurate fit with upper

  • Reduced manufacturing risk

  • Successful transition from concept to production
